_GL exco outing and college day

Today, Peiling organised a greenlink exco outing in West Mall. This is supposed to be our last J2 exco outing though we still have one more together with J1 exco and senior exco in the holiday. All the excos turned up except Joyces and Sabrina. So there are 2 girls-Peiling and Huiling and 5 boys altogether. For me, I found girls' behaviour quite hard to understand (hmm, maybe it's because i came from a all boy sec sch). For example, when deciding where and what to eat, Peiling said,"Anything." But then, she thought for a while and said,"But don't want McDonale, Burger King." We saw KFC nearby and Junjie said,"Then KFC la!" She then said,"No KFC." So we started walking around level by level until we reached the foodcourt. When we boys felt that foodcourt might be a better choice, she got the "don't really want" sort of expression. So we asked her again where she wanted to eat, she said anything and told Junjie to choose. When Junjie decided on foodcourt, she said,"Huh, really?" But we ate in the foodcourt in the end. Hmm, girl's "anything" got quite a lot of restriction actually. =)
In the food court, we found a 8 seat table and we boys went to buy our food first. When I returned, I saw peiling and huiling kept changing seats??? They placed my bag on the table (which I originally placed on the table) and huiling took my seat. Then, peiling wanted me to sit in one seat and huiling wanted me to sit in another. After I sat down, they changed seats again. When all the boys were back, the girls went to buy their food. Throughout the meal, the boys were mostly talking to ourselves and the girls were talking to themselves. After the meal, Huiling then suggested going to Swensen. The boys protested, feeling that it is expensive. She then asked are we sure we want to end our lasting outing in a foodcourt? Qingxiang then suggested Coffeebean as he "thought" that it was less expensive. The girls agreed and we went there.
In the coffeebean, the boys sat down (at a loss of what to buy after seeing the prices) while the girls went to buy their drinks (notice it is the other way round compared to the situation in the foodcourt). When they returned, Chengyang asked how much is their drinks. One of them costs $4+ while the other costs $6+. You can see the boys' faces turn colour on finding out the prices. Sometimes I wondered, how come girls seem to be richer than the boys? =) The girls then wanted to treat us, but we rejected. (Paiseh leh for girls treat boys.) So Junjie and Qingxiang decided to buy something as the situation is becoming very awkward with 5 boys looking at 2 girls having their drinks. Qingxiang asked Junjie to help him buy Espresso small (hope I spell the name correctly). Junjie later returned with a tray with a Cuppocinno and a small mug of around 5cm tall and 2.5cm radius half-filled with brown colour liquid. While we were wondering what the small little cup actually contained, Qingxiang asked,"That can't be mine right?" When Junjie replied,"That's yours!", Qingxiang then was stunned for a while and then carried on talking about being cheated. That tiny cup of coffee costed $3.20. Qingxiang then went to add milk until the brim, drink a little and filled it to the brim again a few times. He said that this is to ensure that the coffee can last longer. It was very comical and we couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes. When he finally finished that coffee, he said that Nescafe 3in1 coffee was better la and that he won't buy Espresso again. He must be very xin tong for buying that coffee.
After that, Huiling, Qingxiang and Junjie left for College Day preparation while the rest of us walked around the mall before spending the rest of the time until 4.30 in library before we left for College Day.
Personally, I felt that the College Day was rather ok, though I find speaker clapping during speech very strange. At least I get to get most of the performing art groups which is my first time seeing quite a few of them perform. The foodfair also quite ok except all the drinks finished very early so I couldn't buy any after my food and was rather thristy. It ended at 9+pm with a performance by the band, which gave the best performance of the night I personally think. It's no wonder they got the gold with honour...
