Weekend family outing
March 2005 |
Random Posts| Firstly, I saw my FM result when Ms Ng was about to show the top scorers. I got 54, worse than my CT1. It is not really unexpected. I only spent 2 days studying FM and didn't have enough practice. Besides, there are some answer that I knew is off, but just can't figure out where I went wrong. Secondly, I am not going for this weekend Singapore Poly Chess Competition. It is because our chess captain didn't want to fight for this competition, so the J1 excos decided to let J1 gains experience as well as try out the new J1 formation. Singapore Poly is more difficult with many additional poly teams around but we should still be able to get a 3rd if we really fight for it. But since the captain didn't want to play, they decided to put him in team A reserve and put me in team B reserve. But as reserve, I wouldn't get the chance to play so I am not going at all this weekend. Hai, thought we can still get 1 more trophy before we retire. So today will be unofficially my last training. Still got 1 more hand-over ceremony and then I will officially retire. Just watched the IOC live from my room TV. London won by 54-50. Quite unexpected. I actually support Paris one. Hai, life is full of unexpectation. Underdogs will sometimes win. So the favourite must not be over-confident and the lousier teams shouldn't lose hope at all. It is a lesson I learnt from the Raffles Cup... Ah bing || Wednesday, July 06, 2005 |
